PLC tear full form is posterior cruciate ligament. It is a ligament that links your upper and lower legs. The PLC tear is stronger and larger than the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), yet it is still susceptible to injury. Anyone can get a PLC injury, but skiers and sportsmen who play baseball, football, or soccer are at a higher risk.
The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) connects your thigh bone to the top of your lower leg bone and runs around the back of your knee. This ligament helps your knee move smoothly by holding your bones in place.
Pain, swelling, and other symptoms may accompany a PCL injury. Non-surgical and surgical treatments are available at Dr. Dev Padia's clinic.
