How Vedaant Orthopaedic Center collects, uses and protects the information you share through this website and when you visit the clinic.

In short: This website does not sell your data or share it for advertising. Information you send through the enquiry form, by phone or on WhatsApp is used only to respond to you and to arrange care. Who we are

This website, devpadia.com, is operated by Vedaant Orthopaedic Center, the orthopaedic practice of Dr Dev Padia, at UG/9B Galloping Corridor, GD Goenka School Road (Canal Road – VIP Road), Surat, Gujarat 395007, India.

For any question about this policy or about information we hold, contact the clinic on +91 6355 991 466 or by email at devpadia@live.com.

What information we collect

We collect only what we need in order to reply to you and to provide care.

Information you give us

  • Enquiry and appointment requests. Your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, and whatever you choose to write in the message field.
  • Phone and WhatsApp. If you call or message the clinic, we hold your number and the content of that conversation so we can follow up.
  • Clinical information at the clinic. If you attend a consultation, a medical record is created — history, examination findings, imaging and treatment notes. This is handled separately from the website and is described under clinical records below.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic analytics. Pages visited, approximate location at city level, referring website, device type and browser. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records IP addresses and request times for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information — scan reports, prescriptions, identity documents or payment card details — to be submitted through the website enquiry form. Please bring those to the consultation or discuss them on a call.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and to arrange, confirm or reschedule an appointment.
  • To provide and follow up on medical care, where you are a patient of the clinic.
  • To understand which pages of this website are useful, so we can improve them.
  • To keep the website secure and functioning.
  • To meet legal, regulatory and medical record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your enquiry details to build advertising profiles.

Clinical records and confidentiality

Medical information created during a consultation or procedure is confidential. It is used to treat you and is disclosed to others only where you ask us to, where another clinician is involved in your care, where your insurer requires it to process a claim you have made, or where the law or a court requires it.

Patient records are retained in line with Indian medical record-keeping requirements. If you would like a copy of your own records, ask at the clinic — you are entitled to one.

No patient is named, photographed or described on this website without their explicit permission. The video testimonials and written reviews published here were shared voluntarily by patients, and any patient may ask for their testimonial to be taken down at any time by contacting the clinic.

Third-party services used on this site

A small number of external services are used to make the site work. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Google Maps — the clinic location map. The map is not loaded until you click it, so no request is made to Google Maps unless you choose to open it.
  • YouTube — patient video testimonials, embedded in privacy-enhanced mode. Videos load only when you press play.
  • Google Analytics — anonymised traffic measurement, with IP anonymisation enabled.
  • SiteGround — our web hosting and security provider.

Following a link away from this website — to a Google review page, a social profile, or a medical reference — means the privacy policy of that website applies from that point, not ours.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies: essential ones that make the site function, and analytics cookies that count visits. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though some preferences will not be remembered.

How long we keep information

  • Website enquiries — kept while we deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
  • Clinical records — retained for the period required under Indian medical record-keeping rules.
  • Analytics — aggregated and retained in Google Analytics according to its own retention settings.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable Indian law, you may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it for medical or legal reasons.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential uses, such as appointment reminders.
  • Ask for a published testimonial or review response featuring you to be removed.

To make any of these requests, call +91 6355 991 466 or email devpadia@live.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose someone else’s information by mistake.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to clinic records is restricted to staff who need it to do their work. No system is completely secure, so please do not send scan reports, identity documents or payment details by email or through the website form.

Children

This website is not directed at children. Where a child is treated at the clinic, information is provided and consent given by a parent or legal guardian.

Medical disclaimer

The articles and treatment pages on this website are general health information. They are not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for a consultation. Reading a page here does not create a doctor–patient relationship. If you have a symptom that worries you, see a doctor. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital rather than sending an enquiry through this site.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will be summarised at the top.
